Welcome to the Art of Sato

We have exciting news to share as we proudly unveil a new chapter for our boutique:

the exclusive arrival of Sato Eyewear.

We are today the first and only store in Brooklyn to carry this exceptional brand, bringing the unique fusion of Japanese precision and Sato’s rebellious spirit directly to our neighborhood. Dedicated to our mission to bring you eyewear with soul, story, and serious style, we know you’re going to love it.

Launched in 2022 with partner Jérémie Gamon, Sato is the vision of Kevin Godart-Elbaz, often described as an "architect of the face."

As a true bridge-builder between worlds, Kevin merges his deep-rooted family legacy in optics, with a global persepective.

Together with his sister, Salomé Elbaz, he is the owner of MBOptique, a French independent eyewear business established in 1985.

Having grown up immersed in the art of craftmenship, Kevin brings decades of nuanced expertise to his innovative venture with the idea to create “eye-wearable” art.

To achieve this, he packed his bags for Sabae, Japan, teamed up with legendary artisans, and together they started crafting frames that are as unique as the people wearing them, merging generations of optical expertise with the cool, rebellious vibe of the ‘90s.

For this launch, we’re focusing on their stunning titanium collection and a curated selection of acetate models. The titanium frames are so light you’ll forget you’re wearing them, yet strong enough to last a lifetime Complementing these, our new acetate range brings rich depth and bold character with the same high-end material and meticulous craftsmanship.

Unlike mass-produced options, the line operates on a philosophy of being "limited by intention," making small batches to ensure that every pair is the perfect finishing touch to your look, and designed to match your confidence and distinction.

The experience extends beyond the frames themselves. Each pair arrives in a thoughtfully curated package that reflects the brand’s dedication to detail, including a special perfumed cleaning spray. This unique touch ensures that maintaining your eyewear is as sensory and refined as the moment you first put them on, adding a subtle signature scent to your daily ritual. We love!

And we aren’t the only ones obsessed; the fashion world has already taken notice.

British GQ recently spotted actor Theo James rocking a pair of Sato sunglasses, the Terebellum, praising the brand for its bold, high-end aesthetic. This recognition underscores what we have long believed: that true style lies in the details, the weight of the material, and the story behind the maker.

Surely, Sato is quickly becoming the go-to choice for those who appreciate something a little different, a little special, and a lot well-made.

Bringing Sato to Brooklyn feels like a perfect match to our neighborhood that is all about creativity and standing out..

Come feel the quality, hear the story, and find the pair that doesn't just help you see the world, but helps the world see you.
