The design was inspired by sunglasses worn by a member of a British rock band in the 1990s that the design team respects. It features an oval lens shape and slightly wide metal temple that are symbolic of the era. Inspired by cathode ray tube televisions, this part is extremely difficult to manufacture, as it requires engraving lines at 0.2mm intervals on the inclined portion of the inside of the rim.
